Consultation on the sale of land at East Garforth Primary Academy
Proposed Sale of Land
Delta Academies Trust and East Garforth Primary Academy would like to seek your views on the sale of the land adjoining Aberford Road. The unsafe gradient means this land cannot be used as playing fields and it is therefore currently fenced off and left to grassland.
We have exciting plans underway for the refurbishment of East Garforth Primary and any funds from the land sale would be used to improve the academy buildings and playing fields further. These plans will benefit the school, staff and pupils on our journey to outstanding.
The areas identified for further investment are as follows:
- Refurbishment of Key Stage 2 Buildings
- Remodelling of existing Early Years to include an extension Nursery ,as well as a complete refurbishment of the external early years play area to include canopies for outdoor learning
- Refurbishment of Key Stage 1 classrooms
- External works including resurfacing of play areas, improve access to all buildings, improve drainage
- Sports Field Development
