Remote Learning Y5

Year 5's remote learning journey has been fantastic and I am so impressed about how quickly they adapted to learning from home, logging onto zoom and their constant enthusiasm! They have still been able to produce some excellent work from home and make great progress. Really well done year 5!

In writing year 5 planned and researched a particular person for their biographies with great success. The biographies ranged from authors, wrestlers, youtubers, footballers and music artists - I learned a lot from reading them all!

In maths the children have done extremely well as we started the year looking at multiplication and division and are now continuing with fractions. Fractions can be a difficult concept to grasp, however the class have done exceptionally well with this topic. As we have spoken a lot about pizzas when discussing fractions, I think we all deserve a slice of pizza after mastering this!

Science has also been great fun as we learned about Earth and space. The children even created a moon phase diagram using biscuits!
